Joe Reed is a 1976 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. It was while he was at that institution that he began his tax accounting career. He accepted an internship with the Internal Revenue Service in 1975 and went on to become a Revenue Agent after graduation. He continued with the IRS till September of 1977. At that time, he accepted a position as a tax accountant with William A. Roach, CPA.

In the spring of 1979, Joe completed the requirements for becoming a Certified Public Accountant, and immediately the firm of Roach & Reed CPA’s was formed. It has been his privilege to serve the southeast area of Tennessee since that time as a partner and officer of that company in the fields of tax and accounting.

 Joe has been involved over the years in various civic and business professional organizations, but his passion has been to serve in various positions in the churches The Lord has allowed him to be a member.

 Second only to his relationship with the Lord is his relationship with his wife of 45 years, Marsha. They have been blessed with two children, Joseph and Michael who have provided eight glorious grandchildren. PapaJoe, as he is affectionately called by those who know him best, is a “blessed” man.
